Mile High United Way - High United Way Donor Relations team intern


The Mile High United Way Donor Relations team is seeking an Intern who will be responsible for assisting with Donor Relations communications and social media projects, as well as other promotion of workplace campaigns and events. Primary Responsibilities:
·Attend corporate campaign and volunteer events and shoot video/pictures that can be shared via social media and other means to recognize corporate and individual donor involvement with a focus on engaging, recognizing and supporting our corporate partners
·Write/edit/proofread donor relations communications as needed
·Traffic management for Donor Relations to ensure communications are going out as planned and to the correct audience

We work for Seniors’ Resource Center (SRC), a non-profit agency in Denver. SRC delivers services that help keep the elderly happy in their homes for as long as it is possible to do so. SRC is a 35-year-old community partner providing Transportation, Adult Day Care, In-Home Care Services, Mental Health Outreach, Volunteer Opportunities and Care Management Services for seniors.
Requirements/Skills: We want you to bring enthusiasm with your verbal communications skills; and independence and creativity to your basic public relations writing skills. We expect you to be gracious and professional. While we want you to show good judgment, we also think it important for you to learn how to take chances and make decisions.
You should be actively enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a university public relations, marketing, advertising or other related program. Current students should have at least a sophomore standing. A working knowledge of computers, as well as word processing and social media is necessary. Candidates with experience in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and InDesign, are preferred.

Special Event Internship:American Lung Association in Colorado

Special Event Internship:
The Special Events Internship is offered to students and professionals who have an interest in event planning and staging fundraisers. This is a required 3 month commitment (minimum) where the intern will gain knowledge of planning and executing an event from start to finish, including developing & marketing sponsorship packages, soliciting in-kind donations, working with vendors & participants, recruiting special event volunteers, managing event volunteers, organizing event logistics and executing a silent auction. The Special Events Intern will work directly with and report to the Special Events Manager and Special Events Coordinator. This is a flexible 15-20 hours per week internship.
Responsibilities Include:
• Work under the supervision of the Special Events Coordinator to plan and organize all special events—this internship will mainly focus on the execution of Run the ‘Rocks being held on Sunday, October 13th and planning for the Fight for Air Climb in February.
• Communicate event details and fundraising information to participants through telephone calls, mail campaigns and emails
