Dates:
RYLA 1: Sunday, JUNE 18 through Friday, JUNE 23, 2017.
RYLA 2: Sunday, JUNE 25 through Friday, JUNE 30, 2017.
It is vital that the conferee stay through the entire conference!

Check with your local Rotary Club and complete your application early!

The objectives of RYLA are
  • To encourage and assist youth leaders and potential leaders in methods of responsible and effective leadership by providing them with a training experience.
  • To encourage continued and stronger leadership of youth by youth
  • To publicly recognize the outstanding qualities of many young people who are rendering service to their schools and communities as leaders
The entire focus of RYLA is to provide foundational leadership skills for teenagers. It has been said that leadership cannot be taught, but it must be learned. At RYLA there are opportunities to learn leadership skills through experiential activities, incredible speakers, small group discussions, large group presentations, and in building life-long friendships.

Part of the magic of RYLA is not having any expectations going into it, which is why we are rather close-mouthed about exactly what we do. RYLA keeps the students busy all day every day, but the end result is more than worth the initial scariness of the unknown.

Summer Jobs for Denver residents ages 16-21

The City of Denver believes in helping our youth find jobs.  With emphasis on training, education and attainable goals, we believe that you'll find that Denver Workforce Services and our contractor partners offer a true way forward.  One of the programs offered is the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP).  The employment program takes the 16-to-21-year-olds through job readiness training where they learn about forming a resume, employer interviews, and how to dress appropriately for interviews and the job.  Following that training youth will be placed into 120 hour paid internships within the private and public sectors.

We are looking for youth that are interested in the program to pre-register by April 7th 2017.  After you complete the pre-registration you will be contacted by staff for the next steps in mid-to-late-April.  Please take a few minutes to complete this process to be considered for the 2017 Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP).

Must be a Denver resident.

CAREERS GROWN HERE. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

We've created a unique culture at Chipotle that inspires growth and opportunity. Of course, we'll start with the basics, teaching you to cook real food, whether you've ever picked up a chef's knife or not. But there's more to the job than that--namely, the chance to build a real career from scratch.

Sharpen your customer-service and teamwork skills, learn to make great food and get ready to grow. Whether you have experience as a cashier, server, cook, prep cook, dishwasher, housekeeper, bartender or no experience at all, this could be the opportunity to develop into a restaurant manager position. We offer part-time or full-time schedules depending on what you are looking for and the needs of the restaurant. And we promote most of our managers from within so there are plenty of chances for you to move up quickly. If you think you have what it takes to join our next generation of leaders, apply now.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

Real, good food
If making real food sounds like a good gig to you, you're in the right place. Here, you'll be part of an organization dedicated to changing the way people think about and eat "fast food". It's a mission (and philosophy) we call "Food with Integrity."

Burrito 101
Every one of our employees starts out as a crew member, learning the basics before moving up to the next position. You'll become proficient in chopping, dicing, slicing, cutting, grilling and more--even if you've never cooked before. It's part of our commitment to making all our food fresh. And teaching you every step of the way.

Crew to career
With a new restaurant opening every two days and 10,000 of our restaurant employees getting promoted into management positions last year, there is plenty of opportunity to grow with us.

Perk up!
We offer great perks like a free meal with every shift, free (fun) uniforms, tuition reimbursement, health, dental and vision insurance, and paid time off. Those are just a few of the ways we reward our employees for their hard work.

GOT WHAT IT TAKES?

The 13 Characteristics
At Chipotle, we look for the best in every employee we hire. Specifically, 13 traits that we believe you can't be taught. You simply have them, or you don't:

Infectiously Enthusiastic, Happy, Motivated, Respectful, Smart, Honest, Polite, Conscientious, Ambitious, Hospitable, Presentable, Curious, High Energy

If you think you have what it takes, apply today!

ROOM TO GROW

At Chipotle we don't have multiple job titles for our entry level employees but all of our crew will play the role of dishwasher, cashier, server, host, bartender, cook, prep cook, etc. so be prepared to learn a lot and work hard if you join the team. Most of the jobs that we are hiring for are entry-level positions. If you are interested in interviewing for a restaurant general manager or assistant restaurant manager position and have previous restaurant management experience you can search our careers page for more opportunities as we may have some of those positions available. Most of these management positions are filled internally but there are some exceptions.

Who's In Control: A Look at Parenting Authority

This workshop is designed for parents of younger children (toddlers and elementary school age).

The workshop will include:
·         Review parenting styles, authoritative, neglectful, permissive, and authoritarian
