The Master's Apprentice - Skilled Trades Course

The Master's Apprentice program recruits young men 18-28 years old from under-resourced communities to participate in a 9 week intensive course that includes work ethic, construction math, financial literacy, career counseling and basic workshop skills. They are paid a stipend while attending the program and graduate with up to a $200 scholarship for the books and tools needed to enter formal trade apprentice programs. Students graduate with a complete personal portfolio including resumes, documents, and certificates needed to qualify with their future employer. The focus is to serve as a "pre-apprentice" bridge into the six specific trades of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, welding, carpentry, and masonry. Learn more about us.

Denver Broncos Cheerleader Tryouts

Auditions: 12:00

Where:
Preliminaries-Sunday April 17th at Sports Authority Field at Mile High (West Club Lounge)
Park in Lot C, enter through Gate 2

Participants should wear athletic attire and bring a black and white or color photograph of their self to the audition. The tryouts will include a dance audition with choreography taught on the spot. All participants auditioning for the Denver Broncos cheerleaders must be 21 years old by July 15 of this year.

Finals will be on April 24th with selected individuals from preliminaries.
Where:  University of Denver’s June Swaner Gates Concert Hall (2344 E. Iliff Ave, Denver, CO 80208)

Parking is available in attached parking garage ($8). Street and metered parking is free on Sunday.

Colorado Media School - Summer Bootcamp

Colorado Media School – Summer Bootcamp

All High School students are welcome! Come join Colorado Media School for an awesome 3 week summer course where you will learn all about the media industry! Learn how to be a broadcasting professional as well as learn the basics of Audio and Video editing. Registration fee will go towards tuition upon enrollment. 

The Bootcamp runs from June 7-24 and is every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:30-6:30. Early Registration ends on May 31st.

SummerTEK - Computer Netowrking Training - Apply by April 15th!

We are pleased to invite you to apply for SummerTEK 2016. SummerTEK is for African-American and other underrepresented minority students who are currently in high school or incoming freshmen. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (C+) or higher, and experience using Windows- based computers. Students who participate in SummerTEK must be committed to learning about information technology. Student selection will be based on accomplishments inside and outside the classroom.

In this exciting 6-week summer program, you will learn about computer networking, one of the fastest growing career fields over the next decade. The knowledge and skills you acquire in this course can help you start on a path toward one of the following innovative and rewarding careers:

Network Administrator 
Network Engineer 
Network Technician 
Network Installer 

SummerTEK students will be enrolled in the Cisco Networking Academy, and will use their online curriculum. They will also complete lab assignments using Cisco Packet Tracer network simulation software. SummerTEK students will attend field trips to state-of-the-art computer networking facilities in the Denver metro area.
