Banquet Cook - Denver Athletic Club

Description: 
The Denver Athletic Club is seeking a full time Banquet Cook 

This Cook will prepare food items required for all banquet events, including breakfasts, luncheons, and dinners and special events. This cook will prepare food in accordance with club recipes. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the kitchen.

Duties: 
Hours are dictated by events, Monday through Friday with some Saturdays
Set up kitchen to be prepared for service
Operate food production equipment according to manufacturers' instruction
Follow standard recipes while preparing for assigned items for banquet service
Notifies Sous Chef of expected shortages
Handles leftover food items as instructed by Sous Chef
Cleans assigned work areas
Consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices, including these related to personal hygiene
Maintain neat and professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times
Requisition items needed to produce menu items
Covers, dates and neatly store all leftover food items that are reusable
Coordinates and time orders with other kitchen operations
Keeps coolers and freezers clean and organized
Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by Sous Chef
Reports to Sous Chef

Qualifications: 
No supervisory duties are included in this position. Previous experience required.

Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
