Camp Counselor - Camp Bow Wow - Northglenn

The Camp Counselor position is with Camp Bow Wow® Northglenn
-- A Premier Doggy Day Care and Overnight Camp.

Camp Bow Wow® provides a fun, safe and upscale environment for dogs to play all day while receiving lots of love and attention! We provide dog daycare for parents to drop their dogs off in the morning and pick them up in the evening, as well as overnight boarding for travelers.
We are looking for mature, responsible people who want to work with dogs. We carefully screen potential employees to ensure the continuation of excellent service while providing a safe and fun environment. Please read below carefully to get a realistic view of what's involved when working in a dog daycare facility such as ours.

Dependability and punctuality is an absolute must. The dogs and your coworkers are counting on you. Flexibility is also required. Days and hours will change due to the number of dogs in house on certain days. You must be able to work some weekends and holidays.

If you do not have a genuine love towards animals, this is not the place for you. It is physically demanding and mentally challenging. If you do not truly love dogs, it will quickly become evident. We are seeking people who are mature enough to understand and accept the responsibility of caring for other people's "children." This job can be a lot of fun and very rewarding, but it is not sitting around and playing with puppies all day. The dogs need to be cleaned up after, which involves handling a lot of poop and pee. They have to be fed the right food and given the right medications.
Behavior must be closely monitored at all times to ensure a safe environment for everyone. You cannot be afraid of dogs. While working here you may be exposed to: excrement, loud noises and the occasional scratches or bruises that come from being around excited dogs. Cleaning is a major part of every position at the daycare. If you get ill at the idea of cleaning up vomit and diarrhea, this is not the job for you. You must be able to pick up 40 lbs. You will be on your feet for the majority of your shift. You cannot be allergic to animals. You must have your own reliable transportation.
