CorePower Yoga is looking to add a Student Design Intern to
their growing team. In this position, the Student Intern, who supports the
Design & Construction team, will play a key role in an aggressive
multi-year growth initiative. This role will assist with a variety of new
studio and remodel projects while maintaining CorePower Yoga’s standards of
excellence. The Student Design Intern will work in tandem with our in
house Design & Construction teams, as well as outsourced Architects,
Engineering’s, Construction Managers and General Contractors.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining
CPY’s design library and rep. calendar to ensure products and resources
are clean, current and compatible with CPY’s brand standards.
- Assemble
studio construction specification binders, to be used in the field during
construction, as well as by the studio operations team as a resource post
construction.
- Assist
CPY designers with projects on an as needed basis which may include floor
plans/test fits, interior/exterior elevations, signage work and research,
interior finish/furniture selection, etc.
- Assist
CPY designers with accessory purchase and delivery schedules for new
studio openings and remodels.
- Follow
and enforce all safety protocols established by company and safety
standards
The ideal candidate will:
- Be currently enrolled in
school, studying design/architecture or related field.
- Skilled in AutoDesk
Architecture/AutoCAD and related construction documentation software.
- Ability to read and
understand construction documentation, drawings and contracts.
- Computer/technology skills
including Microsoft Office
- Multi-tasking is a must
have; able to handle multiple projects with conflicting deadlines and
priorities
- Strong professional and
effective verbal and written communication skills. Must have excellent
written and oral communication skills
- Ability to operate
independently while establishing strong working relationships with
co-workers and cross-functional teams.
