an interview event tomorrow from 9:00-11:00 at 1617 S acoma St, Denver, CO 80223 and another one on Thursday Sept 3rd from 12-2.  They are able to come and fill out the application while they are here.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:15am - 8 or 9am and 2:30 or 3pm - 6pm
Salary Range: $8.23/hour

Essential Functions and Objectives:
The Staff Aide is responsible for fostering a positive, nurturing and orderly environment conducive to
the optimal growth and development of children. Commitment includes:
· Implement high quality after school programming where students are engaged in a variety of
ways
· Initiate personal contact with all out of school time families and foster a positive environment
for the children
· Use positive youth development strategies
· Deliver curriculum for children in an enriching, engaging and enjoyable manner
· Supervise play areas, create and implement activities, maintain logs and reports, housekeeping
and additional duties as assigned by direct supervisor
· Directly supervise, and responsible for, elementary age students, while following all Human
Services Child Care and District policies as it relates to child supervision guidelines
· Interpret the philosophy of Denver Public Schools and build community with faculty, staff,
parents, visitors and the community
· Ensure that Colorado Department of Human Services Child Care, District and Department
policies and procedures are followed
· Provide accurate and timely information on program operations as requested
· Work with team members to create a harmonious and efficient working environment
· Attend required Department orientations, trainings and staff meetings

Knowledge, Experience, & Other Qualifications:
- Must be able to become First Aid, CPR and Universal Precautions certified.

Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
