Summer 2016- Volunteer Camp Counselor!

Be a SUMMER 2016 volunteer at Camp Wapiyapi and share your time with children affected by childhood cancer.

Camp Wapiyapi near Estes Park offers patients and their siblings ages 6 to 17 years of age a chance to escape cancer and just be kids again!

Campers are paired one-on-one with a volunteer companion and divide up into teams for a week of fun! Zip line, arts and crafts, “color wars,” talent show, dance, and more – are all here in a unique Camp Wapiyapi way.

Camp Wapiyapi is provided at no cost to families and volunteers. This past year we served nearly 1,600 children thanks to the support of 325 camp volunteers!

You must be available for a full session plus the day before the camp session for training & team building. Applications accepted starting October 1st. Apply by December 1st for first preference.

Physicians and nurses volunteer in 24-hour shifts.

Note: Altitude is 8,500 feet.

Healing doesn't only happen in hospitals.

Mark calendars now to attend one of the following Saturday Informational Sessions:
Session 2: November 14
Session 3: February 20

Wapiyapi is a Lakota Sioux word that means health and healing.

Please go to our website www.wapiyapi.org to learn more and for a link to the application.
