The Master's Apprentice - Earn and Learn - Denver

The Master's Apprentice- A Bridge to the Trades - Earn and Learn

Our Mission is to provide young men a bridge to the skilled trades through basic training, on the job experience and the creation of a career path that will enable transition to financial independence.

The Program recruits young men 18-28 years old to participate in a 9 week course that includes work ethic, practical math, financial literacy, career counseling and basic workshop skills. They will be paid a $150 per week while attending classes and workshops and graduate with up to a $200 scholarship that will cover most of the books and tools needed to enter a formal apprentice program such as plumbing or electrical careers. The Apprentices will also graduate with a personal portfolio with resumes, background checks and the required documents and certificates needed to enter their selected trade and interviews with their future employer. Our focus is on the five specific trades of Plumbing, Electrical, Metals, HVAC and Wood. The goal of the program is to teach our Pre-Apprentices the fundamental skills needed in the workplace and provide the basic certifications required by employers. By paying our students while they learn is the bridge they need to enter the formal Apprentice program of their selected trade while enabling them to become hired full time by one of our corporate partners.  Most of our graduates average $15.00 per hour upon acceptance into apprenticeships.

The Curriculum and class schedule is covered over a 9 week period on Monday through Thursdays from 8am to 2pm. This will allow our students to have a job on evenings and weekends. The 4 day class schedule includes;  -Basic and Construction Math,  -Financial Literacy  -The A Game of Work Ethic -Fundamental Woodworking & Basic Workshop Skills

Our guiding verse is 1Thes 4:11-12 (NIV) “Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.”
