TEEN LEADERS PROGRAM
New in 2016-17, Denver Botanic Gardens offers the
opportunity for students to become more
involved during the school year. Participants focus on
leadership development, service learning,
career exploration and networking with their peers and
Gardens staff.
INFORMATION
• Open to teens ages 13-17
• Program runs from September through April
• Participant requirements:
– Attend monthly teen meetings on Sunday afternoons during
the school year.
– Develop and implement a group service project.
– Volunteer for two special events during the school year.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
• Complete and submit online application and letter of
recommendation by Sunday, July 24.
• Attend introductory meeting with parent/guardian on
Sunday, August 14.
