Multiple Positions - Comida - Stanley Marketplace/Aurora

Come work for Comida at the Stanley Marketplace! We are currently looking to hire a variety of positions to join our team in a fun, exciting, fast paced, creative Mexican kitchen serving quality food in our brand new location in Aurora.

Full-Time and part-time available, depending on the position. Must be available on weekends and evenings with some late nights, as needed. Descriptions for each job can be found below.

LINE COOK:
A line cook sets up and closes down the kitchen, strictly adheres to health department regulations, completes a variety of cleaning tasks, prepares food to the chef's exact specifications, can work cooperatively with a group of people, can ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.


PREP COOK:
This position supports the preparation of meals by chopping vegetables, preparing and cooking meats, grating cheese, making salsas and other side dishes, among many other duties. Although this role generally does not include any line production duties, it provides the ideal opportunity to develop many other types of skills essential to becoming a chef. Such skills include proficiently being able to utilize a wide range of kitchen tools and utensils, include knives and mandolins. The ideal candidate has strong time management skills, can self-motivate, is a good listener and can follow directions, and is able to work both independently and with others.


DISHWASHER:
This is a great position for someone just starting out in the industry and looking to build a career. If you are looking to learn from a small experienced staff, this is the place for you!. A dishwasher's responsibilities include washing and putting away dishes, cleaning projects, and some basic prep work. The ideal candidate would be hard working, dependable, and easy to work with.

FOOD RUNNERS:
At Comida, we sell a lot of tacos. It is the responsibility of the food runners to perform quality control by matching dishes with tickets and making sure that plates are neat and presentable for the guests. They also deliver food to tables and educate guests about their selections. Front of House restaurant experience preferred. Food runners must be friendly, confident, knowledgeable, have strong communication skills, and work well under pressure 


HOSTS:
Hosts are the first and last people that guests see, so an upbeat, professional, friendly, and accommodating attitude are an absolute must. Hosts are responsible for taking reservations, setting up tables, managing the flow of guests and monitoring the table rotation, taking, delivering, and closing out to-go orders, among other responsibilities. Host experience preferred. Must be able to communicate effectively, think strategically, and collaborate closely with coworkers. Due to the high volume of our restaurant, a keen eye for details and the ability to work under pressure are crucial.
