Game Design Intern
Working with Serenity Forge video game design team and art
team for 10-15 hours per week. Intern will be working on creating levels with a
specific set of rules and constraints. The intern will be making levels for
games from novice to advanced difficulties, testing games and reaching out to
others to conduct market research on game design, and evaluation of play-tester
reactions. Intern will be creating
various types of artwork under the guidance of the art team, and work closely
with designers to integrate their artwork into video games.
Qualifications
Creativity in design and out-of-the-box thinking. Works well
in teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Skilled in
understanding player thought patterns and player motivations. Programming and
digital art experiences preferred, but not required.

– Capable of tackling several aspects of the game art pipeline all the way from concept art to final asset production.
– Understanding of modular asset design, and the unique challenges required from producing art for both 2d and 3d game environments.
– Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
– Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator preferred.
– Knowledge of programming and technical art preferred.
– Generalized artistic and design skills that can be applied to a variety of tasks.
