Hockey Scorekeeper - South Suburban Parks and Rec - Centennial

Scorekeepers are off-ice game officials who keep score and other statistics, manage the game clock, and enforce roster rules. Must be able to work at both Family Sports Center and South Suburban Ice Arena. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 
Must be at least at least 16 years of age.

Education: Some high school preferred.

Experience: Knowledge of hockey and USA rules is required. Previous experience in hockey scorekeeping is preferred.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have basic hockey knowledge.The ability to work evenings and weekends and/or holidays and to get along with coworkers, customers, parents, and supervisors is required. Remind referees of special in house rules and update them on players who have already scored three goals.

A combination of education and experience may be considered. The ability to successfully complete a background check including and not limited to criminal history search is required.

Work Hours:
Looking for a candidate who is available regularly throughout the year, September is the only slow month. Sunday availability is required most weekends when we host 20 games on 4 different rinks at 2 different facilities. Sundays you would be taking either a 3 to 6 hr shift during the afternoon (beginning as early as 3pm) or an evening/nighttime 3 to 6 hr shift ending as late as 11:30 pm. You will enjoy having no games on any days on all the 3 day Holiday weekends, Labor Day, Presidents, Memorial Day, 4th of July or Super Bowl Sunday, Easter, Thanksgiving weekend and 2 weeks with no games during Christmas and New Years! Weeknights there are only 1 or 2 games and they could begin as early as 7:30 pm in the Summer or in the Winter they could begin as late as 10:30pm."
