Forward Steps Guardian Scholars Scholarship
The Forward Steps Guardian Scholars Scholarship is a comprehensive scholarship program for young adults who have transitioned out of foster care in Colorado. We are committed to ensuring that every student has the resources and support necessary to get into and through college.
Our Scholarship
- We cover a student's unmet financial need of up to $6,000 per academic year.
- Academy Advisement: assistance with course selection, registration and career mapping
- Student Drop In Center and Computer Lab
- Professional and Personal Development Workshops
- Supplemental Support: Book and Supplies Scholarship, Emergency Funds
- College Boot Camp
- A caring and supportive environment that fosters growth and independence.
Scholarship Qualifications
- Be a current or former foster youth age 18 or 19 when applying
- Demonstrate a high level of motivation and dedication to academic achievement
- Achieve and maintain a 2.0 GPA each semester
- Enroll in and maintain full time student status (12 credit hours each semester)
- Participate fully in all aspect of the scholarship
