Construction Careers Now! Emily Griffith Technical College

Associated General Contractors (AGC), Colorado Contractors Association (CCA) and Hispanic Contractors of Colorado (HCC) have created the Construction Careers Now program in conjunction with Emily Griffith Technical College to attract and add new employees to the construction workforce in Colorado. Interested participants in the Construction Careers Now Program will register for enrollment in their choice of one four-week introduction to the construction industry course through the BuildColorado.com website at NO COST to participants.

With an estimated 30,000 new employees needed in the construction industry in Colorado over the next seven years, this program seeks to quickly add new employees to the Colorado workforce. The program is funded by the State of Colorado in the form of a workforce development grant issued to AGC of Colorado.

REQUIREMENTS
No experience is required to enter this program – just the simple desire to get a fresh start and begin a new career that will last a lifetime. The only requirement is to be a legal resident of Colorado at the time of enrollment. We have waived the need for participants to have a GED or High School education to enter the program in our effort to attract all interested parties to the program. Our goal is to attract a diverse group of new employees for the construction industry and the hundreds of construction company contractors who will be participating in the program. Program participants will receive an in-depth exposure to the construction industry and the many OPPORTUNITIES the industry offers in a wide variety of trades.
