The Master's Apprentice Program - Denver

Our Mission is to help young men enter into well-paying careers in the construction trades industries
through basic training, on site industry exposure, and employment assistance that will ultimately
facilitate their financial independence.

The Master’s Apprentice (MAP) is a nonprofit social enterprise created to connect trades industries
in need of qualified apprentices, foundations working to reduce dependence on social programs, and
young men searching for an opportunity to succeed. The Master’s Apprentice is unique in providing a
bridge over the opportunity divide between the young men rooted in low income mindsets and the
growing need for apprentices in the skilled trades, specifically Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Carpentry,
and Welding.

The MAP Program recruits young men 18-28 years old from low income neighborhoods and pays
them an incentive of up to $150 per week to participate in a 8 week program which runs
Monday-Friday from 8am3pm. Courses include Basic Construction Math, Financial Literacy, Work
Ethic, and Career Prep as well as hands on skill development in our full scale Woodshop. Additionally,
participants get first hand exposure to the industry through training facility and job site visits, industry
guest speakers, and inside job connections through our network of corporate partnerships. The
apprentices will also graduate with a personal portfolio containing a resume, letters of
recommendation, and the required documents and certificates needed for entrance into their
selected trade. MAP assists participants through the job search process and once hired, graduates will
receive a Tool Scholarship of up to $200 to cover the tools and supplies needed to begin their new job
or apprenticeship program.

Our guiding verse is 1Thess 4:11-12(NIV): “Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your
own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the
respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.”
