Rate of Pay: Pay depends on qualifications and experience and skill set.

General Function:
To instruct aerobic and/or conditioning classes under the general direction of the Health and Wellness Physical Director/Fitness Coordinator, consistent with the philosophy, policies and purpose of the YMCA of Metropolitan Denver. The Group Exercise Instructor, working as part of the Health and Wellness Team, will deliver professional customer service and relationship building skills to create a welcoming environment at the YMCA of Metropolitan Denver. The incumbent will also exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all aspects of their work with the YMCA.

Entry Requirements/Qualifications:

1. YMCA Principles of Health and Fitness within 90 days of hire.
2. YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise Instructor Training or National Certification
3. Current CPR certification and Standard First aid certification.
4. Must maintain YMCA Certification by attending 15 YMCA CEC’s every 3 years, or by maintaining a National certification for Group Exercise Instructor.
5. Daytime availability preferred
6. Experience instructing children preferred
