Free Coding Classes - Denver Public Library

CoderDojo
Every Saturday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. starting September 19

ideaLAB: In the Level 4 Community Technology Center at the Central Library

Due to popular demand and generally being awesome, the CoderDojo is back! In case you missed it last time, the dojo is a place where young people ages 7-19 can learn to code and develop websites, apps, programs, games, and more in a fun and social environment. This program is almost entirely volunteer-run by local developers and programmers!

We will be starting the kids out on CSS, HTML and Java Script. They can work at their own pace. There are no tests and no deadlines. Once they have gotten through these, they will start to work on their own projects.

Every Saturday there will be a newbie table, where an existing dojo member will help show new members how to get started, so new kids can join the Dojo anytime with no pressure that they are behind.

A parent, guardian or older sibling MUST stay. In order for us to succeed, we need parents to get involved, help, organize pot lucks? Who knows what we could do together?

Speaking of which, our CoderDojo community partners have launched a new dojo in north Denver at Regis University. Find more details on the website.

Due to limited space/computers, we do ask that ninjas register to attend. See you at the dojo!
