Art Gallery Retail Associate (Broomfield and Denver)

Eslinger Art Gallery is seeking an Art Gallery Retail Associate as a seasonal employee (with potential to stay on after the holidays based on merits and availability), starting the first week of November.

The Eslinger Art Gallery is located both at the Flatirons Mall in Broomfield, Colorado and on South Broadway in Denver, Colorado. Associate will be working about 90% of their time at the Flatirons Mall, with the remaining time at the Denver gallery.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- MUST be able to work hours set by the mall and store, which includes nights and weekends.
- Responsible for reporting to work on time, and opening/closing the store.
- Provide quality customer service to include assistance with purchases and providing product information.
- Comfortable and proficient in art sales.
- Build and maintain an understanding of the stores images/products and price information to assist with customer purchases.
- Receive payments from customers, operates cash register and credit card machine and returns appropriate change as needed.
- Reconcile cash drawers accurately at end of each shift.
- Receive and examine deliveries for discrepancies or damages and resolves problems expeditiously.
- Stock inventory and rotates stock within the store.
- Minimize customer complaints through effective customer service.
- Maintain a neat and orderly store at all times.
- Prepare product displays as requested.
- Maintain surveillance on store products for theft prevention.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates must possess:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience working in retail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Outgoing, Courteous, Friendly and Reliable, Strong self-starter work ethic.
- Must be able to use computers, and enjoy working with people and selling.
- Art knowledge and strong customer service skills a huge plus.
- Professional appearance.
