Upstairs Circus is looking for Hosts and Bartenders to assist with Project Socials, events and everyday shop hours.
Upstairs Circus is a creative entertainment venue (bar-meets-art studio) that will be opening late November 2013. The slogan "Create, Drink & Be Merry" covers it all: Upstairs Circus patrons make D.I.Y. projects, enjoy libations and have a good time while doing both.
PLEASE NOTE: Upstairs Circus is not hiring for typical host or bartender positions. Both positions will also need to help assist patrons with DIY Projects made in the space. Also note, any tips made in any position will be shared by all staff.

Host Responsibilities May Include:
- Checking customers into Project Socials
- Welcoming patrons and directing them as needed
- Act as a "Project Assistant" to assigned tables
- Bring a sense of liveliness to events
- Help design new projects and products
- Act as a backup bartender when needed
- Provide excellent customer service for in-store patrons
- Work various daytime retail hours and normal night and weekend hours
- Marketing assistance
- Inventory assistance
- Event set-up and clean up
Bartender Responsibilities May Include:
- Bar set-up and clean up
- Responsible liquor service, including beer, wine and cocktails
- Provide excellent customer service for in-store patrons
- Act as a "Project Assistant" to patrons at the bar
- Work various daytime retail hours and normal night and weekend hours
- Help design new projects and products
- Act as a backup host when needed
- Bring a sense of liveliness to events
- Inventory assistance
- Event set-up and clean up
Requirements:
- 21 years or older
- Available nights and weekends
- Responsible self-starter
- Must love all things art, design and D.I.Y. related
- Problem solver
- TIPS Certified (can be taken once hired)
This position pays $12.00 per hour, plus shared tips for both positions.

Anticipated to begin training mid-November for opening November 26.
