The Ready to
Work Academy at Red Rocks Community College, Rocky Mountain Education Center
The
Ready to Work Academy will help students access the growing field of Infrastructure
Technicians.
Infrastructure
= services and facilities necessary for an economy to function
Technicians
=specialist trained in the skills and techniques related to the field they
serve and solve technical problems
The program
takes place in a comprehensive classroom using a practical learning environment
and lab with real equipment completed in a ten day intensive course.
Major Course
Goals:
- Earn an OSHA 10 General
Industry card
- Understand and properly use
the tools needed in the infrastructure technician industry
- Earn an EPA Section 608 card
- Gain the ability to work
safely and profitably on equipment during their paid internship
- Earn the knowledge of hard and
soft skills necessary to secure an entry level position in the
Infrastructure Technician field
- Paid

- We develop a Personal
Education Plan at the end of the internship to enhance core learning and
advance college degree opportunities with scholarships and tuition
assistance.
