Job Fair April 2nd - Goodwill - Parker

We will be having a job fair on Thursday, April 2, 2015, from 10am- 4pm at our Parker & Mainstreet Goodwill Retail Store which is located at 1100 S. Parker Rd., Parker, CO 80015.

Donation Attendant Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: 
• Provides excellent customer service to donors by responding to donation bell within 15 seconds, greeting donors in a courteous, professional, friendly manner; assisting donors in unloading donated items and carrying them inside; answering questions from donors, including acceptable donations, in a professional manner; thanking donor for their donation; and filling out and giving donation receipt to the donor. 
• Tracks and records donation counts accurately. 
• Assists customers in loading purchased items ensuring that Liability Release form is filled out correctly and signed. 
• Sorts donated items into proper containers and moves the containers to the proper storage area. Matches donated shoes and rubber bands the pairs prior to placing in containers. Loads conveyor belt with donated items to be priced. 
• Maintains a neat and organized donation area. 
• When working the closing shift, ensures that the donation area and dock are secured according to direction of store management. 
• Prices furniture and large items such as electronic and exercise equipment according to price guidelines. Records totals of furniture and large items that have been priced.
• Loads and unloads trailers safely as needed; assembles furniture as needed; bales salvage clothing in a safe manner as required; labels containers as instructed by store management; uses POS machines to print price tags for items processed in donation area as needed. 
• Removes trash to trash compactor. Operates compactor in accordance with guidelines. 
• Reports supply needs to supervisor. 
• Reports all accidents immediately to supervisor. 
• Safeguards all Goodwill property including donated goods. Reports any suspicious behavior, incidents of theft, or unauthorized possession/removal of Goodwill property. 
• Follows all Goodwill and retail store policies and procedures including non-discrimination/harassment; drug/ alcohol free workplace; possession and removal of Goodwill's property; keeping personal belongings, including cell phones, in lockers during work hours; following allotted break and lunch schedules; using time clock for arrival, lunch beginning, lunch ending and departure every work day; adhering to standards of personal appearance and hygiene as stated in retail dress code; follows entry and exit policies to ensure safety. 
• Follows safety rules and regulations. Acts safely at all times. Knows personal lifting limitations and asks for help when necessary. 
• Builds and maintains effective quality working relationships with co-workers and customers. Promotes and demonstrates teamwork and cooperation. Treats everyone with dignity and respect. Immediately advises supervisor of significant and unexpected problems. 
• Works flexible schedules, overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays if required. 
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Cashier Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: 
• Records correct categories and prices in cash register, receive cash payments, credit card or check from customers and gives correct change when necessary. 
• Professionally answers customer's questions and resolves customer's disputes and refers any unresolved questions/disputes to a member of management team on duty. 
• Responsible for cash register charges, paperwork, and balancing the register at the end of the shift. 
• Maintains a clean and orderly store for safety reasons and customer service. 
• Cross trains and acts as a Donation Attended or Processor as needed. Receives and stores donations; classifies, categorizes, sorts, and sizes; arranges displays and rotates store merchandise. 
• Acts as a stocker or performs janitorial duties as required when not performing cashier duties. 
• Reports accidents in timely manner. 
• Builds and maintains effective quality working relationships with internal and external customers. Acts with customers in mind and is dedicated to gaining their trust and meeting their expectations. Uses effective written and verbal communication. Uses good interpersonal skills treating everyone with dignity and respect. Immediately advises supervisor of significant and unexpected problems. Promotes and demonstrates teamwork and cooperation. 
• Completes assignments accurately and timely. 
• Safeguards all Goodwill property including donated goods. Reports any suspicious behavior, incidents of theft, or unauthorized possession/removal of Goodwill property. 
• Follows all Goodwill policies and procedures. Follows safety rules and regulations. Acts safely at all times.
• Supports the best elements of our corporate culture while making culture change. Open to and supportive of new ideas and process improvement of systems and procedures.
• Works flexible schedules, overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays if required.

Merchandise Processor Essential Job Responsibilities 
• Achieves established production goals. 
• Inspects, evaluates and sorts unprocessed merchandise. 
• Tests all Electrical and Mechanical merchandise. 
• Prices merchandise according to pricing standards and attaches price ticket or color dot to merchandise properly. 
• Understands colored ticket schedule for production and rotation of merchandise on the sales floor. 
• Pulls merchandise according to the color schedule. 
• Uses POS pricing equipment properly with correct tickets and follows color schedule for production. 
• Maintains and cleans POS equipment daily. 
• Places priced merchandise in proper areas on the sales floor. 
• Records productivity according to established procedures. 
• Works flexible schedules, overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays if required.
