Denver Zoo Crew - MUST apply by March 1st!

If you are passionate about animals, you enjoy working with kids, and have ever wanted to experience what a zookeeper's day is like, Denver Zoo's Teen Volunteer Program, Zoo Crew, might be the place for you! Zoo Crew runs primarily in the summer months (June-August), and supports a variety of areas around the zoo. Apply for this amazing opportunity!

• $150 (price includes t-shirts, training, all materials)
• Scholarships ARE available through Denver Zoo's Scholarship Fund

Teen Leaders Program - Denver Botanic Gardens

JOIN THE GARDENS

TEEN LEADERS PROGRAM

New in 2016-17, Denver Botanic Gardens offers the opportunity for students to become more

involved during the school year. Participants focus on leadership development, service learning,

career exploration and networking with their peers and Gardens staff.

INFORMATION

• Open to teens ages 13-17

• Program runs from September through April

• Participant requirements:

– Attend monthly teen meetings on Sunday afternoons during the school year.

– Develop and implement a group service project.

– Volunteer for two special events during the school year.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

• Complete and submit online application and letter of recommendation by Sunday, July 24.

• Attend introductory meeting with parent/guardian on Sunday, August 14.

Volunteer Opportunities

at Denver Botanic Gardens

Teens who are looking for a fun and engaging opportunity to volunteer outdoors this summer
need not look any further. Teens can educate visitors through different roles in Mordecai
Children’s Garden or help with summer camps.


Information
• Open to teens ages 13-17
• Apply for either Junior Counselor or Children’s Garden
Volunteer position (can apply for both)
• Programs run from June through mid-August
• Teens work with staff to create their own schedule

How to get involved
• Attend the Teen Volunteer Information Session on Saturday, March 12 from 1-2:30 p.m. (Teen and parent must attend.)
• Complete and submit online application and a letter of recommendation by Sunday, April 10. Interviews will be scheduled with applicants who submit required materials.
