Your Entry Point to Financial Services

Sometimes, a foot in the door is all you need. And that is exactly what Janus Henderson’s Trainee Program provides.

The Trainee Program is designed to create more opportunities in the investment management industry for young people from different backgrounds. Rather than assessing academic qualifications, candidates are recruited based on their drive to succeed and desire to learn.

The year-long program is open to high school leavers, recent college graduates and those looking for a career change. For Trainees who excel, the program can lead to a permanent role within Janus Henderson Investors.

What You’ll Do

Work side-by-side with Janus Henderson’s brightest professionals as you learn about our products, clients and processes. Hands-on experience will be provided as will exposure to multiple teams and departments. Trainees will also have access to Learning & Talent Development courses, with a specific curriculum in place to support the program.

Where You’ll Work

Enjoy all that Denver has to offer by working in the heart of Cherry Creek, with a variety of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Office amenities include:

                        Free covered parking

When We Need You

The Trainee Program runs for 12 months, beginning in September. Trainees work 40hrs/week, Monday through Friday, and are eligible for all company holidays.

BankWork$ - A Bank Career Training Program - Aurora

Goodwill Industries of Denver has partnered with BankWork$ to provide financial industry specific training in the Denver metro area. BankWork$ is a free training program for adults with barriers to employment that provides a pathway to a career in the financial services industry and places graduates in jobs at leading local banks. Goodwill Industries will facilitate the 8-week intensive course at select Career Connection Centers. The curriculum provides training in the skills needed for jobs as tellers, customer service representatives, and personal bankers. BankWork$ also offers job interview practice, job placement assistance, and ongoing coaching and mentoring to help with career advancement. The program culminates in a graduation ceremony and hiring event where representatives at local banks interview graduates. 

·        The first class will be begin on August 15, 2016 at the Goodwill Career Connection center in Aurora, CO. We will hold at least one class per quarter thereafter, ramping up to two classes per quarter in Fall 2017.

·        Graduation ceremony and hiring event will take place on October 6, 2016.

·        This is an 8 week training course with classes held Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Homework will be assigned.

·        We are currently accepting applications. The applicant screening process includes, but is not limited to, a telephone interview, in person interview, reading and writing assessments, and a criminal background check.

·        Minimum Eligibility:

o   Age 18 or Older

o   High school diploma or GED

o   English proficiency – bilingual a plus!

o   Reading and Math  - 9^th grade level

·        Partner banks will include national, regional and community banks as well as credit unions. Our partners will participate in the training program through presentations and bank tours, and will interview graduates at the hiring event.
