Denver Public Safety Cadet - application deadline Dec. 31st


The Denver Public Safety Cadet Program application is now open!
If you are interested please  visit www.Denvergov.org/jobs or  contact the Cadet Recruiter, Dylan Eakle, at (720) 926-5135. The Cadet Program provides a full ride scholarship to either Metro State University or CU Denver, part-time employment, and tons of training with Denver Fire, Police and Sheriff.

Denver Public Safety Cadet Program - apply ASAP

If you are interested in a career in the Department of Public Safety as a Denver police officer, firefighter, or deputy sheriff, the Cadet Program offers a great opportunity and avenue for consideration.  The mission of the Cadet Program is to serve the community by developing disciplined, educated and diverse candidates that are team-oriented and physically fit for future public safety employment.  
Cadet applicants who desire a future career in public safety work 25-35 hours per week in the Denver Police, Fire, and Sheriff Department's while attending college full-time.  Cadet compensation includes $11.54 an hour, and in-state tuition and books at Metro State University of Denver or the University of Colorado Denver.

Minimum Qualifications:
-H.S. Diploma or GED
-Must have a 2.5 GPA (at time of graduation)
-Valid drivers license (at time of application)
-Colorado residency
-No felony convictions
-No soft drug use in 1 year
-No hard drug use in 3 years
-No more than 60 college credits
-Must meet qualifications for acceptance at MSU or UCD.

Go to www.denvergov.org/jobs to apply. Please allot yourself enough time to complete the application (DON'T start the application last minute!). Take your time and make sure you answer each question correctly. Also make sure you save your username and password for the website, 

As a reminder, please remember to attach the following documents to your application before you submit:

           Copy of High School Transcript or GED Certificate
           College Transcripts (official or unofficial), if applicable
           Two (2) “QUALITY” Letters of Recommendation
           History of your Community/Volunteer Service
           Resume (preferred) but not required
