Advanced Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Program is a nine-week
certification program designed to certify candidates with the skills necessary
to build electronics hardware and develop an exciting career in space
operations.
Participants
are paid and offered benefits during the nine week training program. Candidates
who successfully complete the program may be offered full-time employment at
Lockheed Martin.
The
curriculum includes solder certification, cable harnessing and conformal
coating training.
Training
takes place on the Waterton Campus and is taught by Lockheed Martin Space

Advanced Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Program

1. What’s the pay for these positions?
The pay is $12.50/hour during the apprenticeship training, then $17.20/hour upon hire. Pay is for hours worked; you will not be paid for Holidays. Medical, Vision, and Dental benefits are offered during both the training program and if offered a position after graduation.
2. If I can’t attend the 11/15/2018 Info Session, can I still apply for the apprenticeship opportunity?
Yes. You will also need to apply to online at http://www.lockheedmartinjobs.com. Please note these are time sensitive positions, and the application must be completed (including uploading a resume) as soon as possible following the Info Session date.
3. Is Lockheed Martin hiring for other positions?
The Information Session will exclusively discuss the AMTAP Electronic Fabricator position; all other available Lockheed Martin positions can be found on their website: http://www.lockheedmartinjobs.com.
4. When does the apprenticeship program begin?
The program will begin January 2019 with the possibility of hire after successful completion of the 9-week-long training period.
5. What are the hours?
The apprenticeship program will be from 6:30am – 4pm Monday-Friday on a 9/80 schedule (meaning you will have every other Friday off). If you are offered a full time position at the completion of the program, you will likely be given different shifts after that.
6. Where is Lockheed Martin located?
These positions will be located at the Lockheed Martin Waterton Canyon Campus located in SW Littleton.
7. Are the positions full time?
Yes, both the apprenticeship portion and the final positions are full time.
8. Who are you looking for? Successful Candidates:
• Must be US Citizens or permanent resident - facility requires special access
• Must be able to pass a background investigation & a drug-screen
• Must have reliable transportation
• Have good hand-eye coordination

National Manufacturing Day - October 7th

Emily Griffith Technical College, the Community College of
Denver, and MSU Denver are hosting a tri-campus tour for potential students
interested in manufacturing careers. The 2nd annual event will
feature tours of the manufacturing programs at each institution with some
interactive programming. Participants will learn about the manufacturing
industry, manufacturing processes, and educational pathways in manufacturing
available throughout Metro Denver. The tour ends with a Made in Colorado Expo
that showcases products made right here in Colorado. The tour is for
potential/interested students only, but the expo is open to the public.
Food and transportation to each college will be provided during the tour.

am, tours start promptly at 10:00 am

Responsibilities:
Complete
a “Maintenance Task Hazard Assessment” for each non-routine task.
Respond to emergency machine
breakdowns in a timely manner.
Completes assigned tasks correctly

Perform Preventive Maintenance duties on
facility equipment.
Common Troubleshooting and repair of
AC / DC drives, PLC’s, electrical systems, electrical
equipment, piping systems, plant machinery and plant equipment.
Locate, diagnose and repair malfunctions of
Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems, Water & Starch piping systems,
including pumps, valves, and cylinders.
Perform various inspections and testing on plant systems, machinery and equipment.Repair, maintain, and install gas, LP and electrical engines/systems on forklifts.
Performs carpentry, i.e., form
building, structural steel, concrete, etc.
Assist with operation of laptop
computers for required troubleshooting of PLC controlled systems.
Assist with plant layouts and wiring

Perform necessary procedures to
maintain parts stores inventory system.
Perform cleanup of job site prior to
and after completing repairs.

Requirements -
Must participate in and successfully
complete training programs to include; NFPA 70E electrical training, out of
plant and in-plant instruction,
CPR & First-aid qualification training, Must become a member of the
emergency response team, vendor
training, OSHA and weekly safety related training, etc.
Must operate power hand tools and
equipment, e.g., drills, saws, pipe benders and threaders, etc.
Must be able to read rule and “take”
or “make” a measurement.
Must have or obtain own tools and a
lockable tool box.
Must be able to work alone with minimum
supervision in a team concept.
Must have and maintain a good
attendance and performance record.
Must lift 50-70 lbs. regularly,
e.g., motors, pumps, circuit breakers, pipes, valves, etc.
Must do considerable amount of
bending, stooping, reaching, turning and twisting.
Must climb and work in high places,
e.g., cherry picker, ladders, man lifts, mezzanine, etc.
If Qualified, Must work in confined

Lockheed Martin is Recruiting Motivated Job Seekers for our
Technician Apprenticeship Program!
In partnership with the Colorado Department of Labor &
Colorado Workforce Development Centers.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Lockheed Martin has immediate opportunities at the Waterton
Canyon Facility in Littleton for local candidates interested in working in a
fast paced manufacturing team environment getting to build hardware that
enables Space exploration. The Technician Apprenticeship Program is a 9 week
certification program with an additional 5 weeks of on the job training (OJT)
designed to certify candidates with the skills necessary to work on space
flight hardware and build an exciting career in Space operations. If you are
passionate about building hardware and being part of a team of talented workers
then this opportunity might be for you!
The curriculum includes solder certification, cable
harnessing and conformal coating training. Qualifying candidates may receive
full-time employment offers to work at Lockheed Martin or other companies once
they’ve passed the 9-week certification program.
