Exciting Opportunity for Students Planning to Attend FRCC!
Job Details:
- Work up to 360 hours during the summer of 2019.
- Included in your work time is a summer bridge program to help you succeed in college.
- Job can continue through the school year.
Qualifications:
- Ages 16-24
- Experience challenges to employment including but not limited to:
- Receive SNAP, TANF or free/reduced lunch
- Homeless or housing-insecure
- Person with a disability (physical, mental or learning)
- Parenting or pregnant
- Foster youth or former foster youth
- Involved with the criminal justice system (court, probation, etc.)
- English Language Learner

the following barriers:
- Involvement in the juvenile system - Homeless, runaway, or in foster care - Pregnant or parenting (this includes fathers or soon to be fathers as well) - Individuals with a disability (cognitive or physical) - Dropped out - An English language learner who meets certain income criteria
If you want to go back to school or are looking for employment, we want to be able to support you with that and any other basic needs you may have. Individualized support at no cost to you!

Youth Culinary Academy
Nov 1– Nov 22, 2016
EARN while you LEARN! Students will learn that cooking is
easy —when they have the right skills.
Each student who participates in the Culinary Academy will
receive:
· * Commercial kitchen experience through
interactive cooking labs (including skills in sautéing, roasting, and baking)
· * Culinary knife skills training
· *SERVSAFE Certification through the National
Restaurant Association
· *Job Readiness through the form of resume
development and interviewing skills
· *Earn up to $120 stipend upon successful
completion of the academy
· * Completion of academy may also lead to an
internship at the Osage CAFÉ, Denver’s premiere youth culinary training
platform and restaurant
