Summary of Duties:
To provide communications
support across the organization with a specific emphasis on digital mediums,
including graphic design, website, social media and e-marketing. Estimated
hours are 10 to 20 hours per week, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through
Friday. Compensation is academic credit.
Responsibilities:
Design: assist in the design, production and distribution of
organization’s publications, brochures, appeal letters, and print and digital
ads.
Website: assist in maintenance and updating for organization’s
website to ensure that information is timely, accurate, relevant and engaging.
Social Media: distributing and monitoring social media content
and analytics.
E-marketing: develop and disseminate email updates (two to four
per month).
Project management: Assist in the management
of relationships with outside vendors such as graphic designers, printers,
photographers, etc.
Experience and Education
Requirements
Currently enrolled in college or university, receiving academic credit
Strong knowledge of digital and social media platforms, especially
Facebook, Twitter and YouTube
Strong knowledge of design programs, including InDesign, Illustrator
and Photoshop
Good writing skills
Competent in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Highly motivated, creative and energetic
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
Adept at working in a fast-paced environment
Able to work independently and on teams
