Want to explore careers in the healthcare industry?
The Medical Career Collaborative (MC2) program propels high school students toward careers in healthcare through hands on experiences and professional development activities.
Applicants are selected in the spring of their sophomore year of high school by a committee with great emphasis placed on selecting a diverse group of students from a range of backgrounds and high schools in the Denver Metro area.
Program Components:
*Field Trips, Workshops and Trainings
*Internships
*Volunteer/Service Opportunities
*College and Career Coaching
Students complete an internship at Children's Hospital Colorado. Hospital team members help guide students. Internships include a weekly seminar focused on personal and professional development. Students create a culminating Presentation of Learning that is shared with families, staff and the community. Students who pursue postsecondary healthcare studies have the opportunity to return to Children's Colorado as a college-level intern.
