The Kansas City Fed’s Student Board of Directors (SBOD) program is now accepting
applications for the 2017/2018 Student Board! High school students from Denver
Public Schools are eligible to apply during their sophomore or junior year to
serve during their junior or senior year.
What is the SBOD?
The SBOD program is a program during the 2017-2018 school year
that will prepare students to become knowledgeable citizens by increasing their
understanding of economic, financial and occupational topics through
collaboration with peers and business leaders.
The goal of the program is to:

Foster a broad understanding of the role of
the Federal Reserve and its importance in daily life
·
Develop financial responsibility and money
management skills
·
Promote networking and connections among peers
that build teamwork, respect and trust
·
Provide exposure to a wider variety of career
opportunities and professional interactions
·
Enhance leadership and life skills
What is the application
process?
·
The SBOD program is open to sophomore or
junior high school students from any Denver Public High School. They will serve
on the Student Board their junior or senior year.

Students are selected based on academic
achievement, involvement in extracurricular activities, student essay and
teacher/administrator recommendation
·
Applications must be submitted by Friday, April 28.
