Keynote Speaker: Anthony
Crawford Jr.
As an empowering
Motivational, Inspirational, and Transformational Keynote Speaker who hones in
as a Youth Empowerment Hero, Anthony Crawford, Jr. has announced his greatness
by delivering strong, compassionate and powerful messages. These messages inspire
people to overcome adversity, follow their dreams, and live spiritually
awakened. They are messages that Crawford has learned throughout his life,
especially during the time he contemplated suicide.
Anthony was born and
raised in a gang and crime infested area of Los Angeles, California called the
Watts District/Nickersons' Gardens Projects. His mother, April Crawford, and
father, Anthony Crawford, Sr., nurtured and pushed Anthony to make something of
himself. Anthony headed Midwest to college and graduated from Langston
University located in Langston, Oklahoma in May of 2012 with a Bachelor's of
Arts Degree in Education. During his undergraduate years at Langston
University, Anthony pledged Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and was very active
in the Student Government Association holding the positions of Activities
Coordinator, Vice President and President. He received many leadership awards
and recognition of service throughout his years in college.
Anthony now serves as
a Mentor/ Preventionist and Stomp Coach for inner city youth at various schools
within the Oklahoma City Public School District. He believes in change and new
ideas. He encourages and motivates high risk youth to do and be more. He
exposes youth to college life, Greek life, and Volunteering. His ultimate goal
is to educate youth on how they can create a better life for themselves.
