The Daniels Scholarship
Program is a four year annually renewable college scholarship to any two
or four year accredited nonprofit college or university in the United States
for high school seniors who demonstrate character, leadership, and service.
It is not an academic merit scholarship. Daniels Scholars must intend to
complete a Bachelor's Degree.
Important information about
this year's process:
1.
The first step of completing the Eligibility Questionnaire,
which determines a student's financial and general eligibility to apply for the
Daniels Scholarship, is to complete the 2017/2018 FAFSA at https://fafsa.ed.gov (available starting October
1, 2016) to determine their Expected Family Contribution or EFC. Students will
use 2015 tax information to complete the 2017/2018 FAFSA.
Students should complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after October 1, to have sufficient time to complete our application. If a student submits the FAFSA online and provides a valid email address, FAFSA commits to providing their Student Aid Report (SAR) within 3-5 days. If a student sends the FAFSA by U.S. Mail or requests a paper copy, it can take 7-10 days to receive the SAR once their FAFSA is received and processed.

Students do not have to meet Pell
eligibility requirements to qualify for the Daniels Scholarship Program. We
encourage interested students to register on our site and complete our
Eligibility Questionnaire to determine if they are eligible to complete an
application. Click here and see the Eligibility section of our website for a full
list of eligibility requirements.
3.
The Daniels Scholarship continues to function as an unmet need
or "last dollar" scholarship to any two or four year
accredited nonprofit college or university in the United States. Our scholars
are responsible to pay only for their EFC. However,
if Daniels Scholars choose to attend one of our 24 partner schools,
their EFC will be covered as well. All partner schools are located in our four
state region of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. Click here for a list of partner schools.
