2017-2018 College Scholarship Application

Program Overview
The Aurora Rotary Foundation is excited to announce the 2017-2018 Aurora Rotary Foundation scholarship. The scholarship will provide up to $1,000 to one student from each public high school in Aurora beginning in Fall 2017 academic school year. The scholarship is designed to support graduating seniors currently attending an Aurora Public School District High School or a Cherry Creek School District High School in the city of Aurora who plan on attending the Community College of Aurora beginning Fall Semester 2017. Scholarships will be awarded to students who are able to show they have financial need. Financial need to be determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Eligibility requirements include:
o Applicants must be a senior currently attending a public high school located in Aurora, from either the Aurora Public School District or the Cherry Creek School District and planning to graduate May 2017. This includes:

APS:
Gateway High School
Hinkley High School
Rangeview High School
Aurora Central High School

CCSD:
Cherokee Trail High School
Cherokee Trail High School
Grandview High School
Overland High School

o Plan to attend the Community College of Aurora beginning Fall Semester 2017
o US Citizen, Asset or DACA documented student
o Earn a cumulative GPA of 2.5 upon graduation from high school
o Enroll in 12+ credits for fall 2017 and intent to enroll for 12+credit hours for spring 2018
o Submitted a 2016-17 FASFA application to the Community College of Aurora and can provide a copy of their initial FAFSA Eligibility calculations.

Application Instructions:
Complete the following application. Please note that all fields must be completed in order to submit the application.

High School students: to continue in the application process, you will be requested to submit a transcript to show academic history as well as your FAFSA award letter from the Community College of Aurora showing PELL and COF award amounts.

Students need to have references as part of the application process. For this application, please provide and attach two letters of recommendation, one professional and one personal or academic. (Family members cannot provide a recommendation.)
