The Aurora Fox Internship Program offers practical
experience to bridge the gap between academia and the world of professional
theatre. The Aurora Fox seeks bright, creative, reliable and self-motivated
individuals with basic training and experience in theatre, who are committed to
strengthening their skills and talents. This year the Aurora Fox is looking for
interns for a couple different departments.
Internships will provide an overview of all areas of
technical theatre. A preliminary interview will be used to design an
appropriate path, schedule, and set of goals for each individual. Though an
area of concentration may be determined, interns will be expected to
participate in all areas of production.
A series of workshops will be provided in different areas of
technical theater and a series of practical projects in design and engineering
will be completed by each participant which can be used as the beginnings of a
project portfolio. The final portfolio will be reviewed by professional
designers and technicians at the participant’s exit interview by August 15th.
