Essential Functions of the Job
• Customer Service -- approaches customers in a friendly, professional manner, manages difficult and/or emotional customer situations, responds to customer needs, assures customer satisfaction with store services, and uses professional phone etiquette and courtesy.
• Accurately and timely completes and processes all necessary store paperwork in compliance with corporate policy -- orders accurately prepared, invoices/receipts, store adjustments maintained on a daily basis, follows all cash handling policies and procedures, maintains inventory controls, stock replenishment and performs POS system transactions without supervision.
• Accurately prepares and completes customer orders by performing basic tints with the aid of formulas or a color computer.
• Follows instructions, responds to management direction, takes responsibility for own actions, and completes tasks on time.
• Regular attendance and consistently on time to work is required.
• Ability to work a variety of scheduled hours and days to meet business needs.
• Ability to frequently lift a minimum of 60 pounds from above chest, below knees and on an even plane, which can include loading and unloading a delivery vehicle or loading a customer's vehicle.
• Consistently observes loss prevention measures, safe work practices, safety policies and reports unsafe conditions or hazards to management.
Key Responsibilities
• Work with store manager to insure stock is in proper place, clean and well maintained.
• Works within approved budget, conserves organizational resources.
• Balances team and individual responsibilities, contributes a positive team spirit.
• Participates in and completes required management training.
• Performs additional tasks as delivery driving as assigned and operating forklift --must get certified.
• Coordinates will calls, deliveries and the ordering of merchandise when required.
Work Experience, Technical Skills and Knowledge
• Proficient written, verbal and interpersonal and phone communication skills -- able to communicate clearly with customers and co-workers, produce clearly various written store documentation.
• Basic math ability, proficient reading skills which includes understanding material safety data sheets and labels and attention to detail.
• Professional in appearance and behavior.
• Aptitude for automated/computerized equipment as displayed in ability to use or learn to use POS system, color computer, auto-tint, paint shakers/mixers and office equipment.
• Spanish language skills a plus but not required.
• Must have valid driver's license for the state employed with a good driving record
