The 2015 Teen Science Scholars program is open to high
school students who will be juniors or seniors in
the fall of 2015. Applicants must demonstrate an interest in
and commitment to pursuing a science-related career through their applications,
essays, and interviews.
Applications must be received by Monday, March 16, 2015.
Teen Science Scholars internships provide high school students
opportunities to work with Museum scientists and collections staff on projects
related to their mentors’ research and/or collections work. Students share
their work at an end-of-summer symposium. This program introduces students
interested in science related careers to various aspects of museum
research and collections work. This program is designed to increase
participation in science related careers by students from groups
underrepresented in the sciences. During the summer, the Scholars will be
exposed to various
aspects of museum research and/or collections work and will
strengthen their investigative and communication skills. They will also develop
a peer network that includes students from across metro Denver and beyond.
This is a paid internship. Applicants must be entering their
junior or senior year, planning to attend college, and interested in ascience-related
career.
