About Us: Forget about daily coffee runs and making copies, our Marketing Department likes to work hard, play hard and enrich the community with our storytelling and public relations skills. We value our interns’ opinions and creative thinking; and, we allow them ownership of projects. Work hard for us and we will work hard for you.
When you join our team, you will be trained, coached and mentored by Steve Grund, Director of Marketing and Public Relations whose professional story-telling pedigree includes 25 years of national and local media experience as New Director (KWGN-TV, Denver) and Director of News Operations (Tribune Broadcasting, Chicago). Your skill sets will be showcased and challenged.
We work for Seniors’ Resource Center (SRC), a non-profit agency in Denver. SRC delivers services that help keep the elderly happy in their homes for as long as it is possible to do so. SRC is a 35-year-old community partner providing Transportation, Adult Day Care, In-Home Care Services, Mental Health Outreach, Volunteer Opportunities and Care Management Services for seniors.
Requirements/Skills: We want you to bring enthusiasm with your verbal communications skills; and independence and creativity to your basic public relations writing skills. You should be actively enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a university public relations, marketing, advertising or other related program. Current students should have at least a sophomore standing. A working knowledge of computers, as well as word processing and social media is necessary. · Create and update content for the agency’s various social media efforts including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, WordPress and LinkedIn.
